Discovery Center at Stony Point

The Discovery Center is a year-round hub for learning and play, located in Stony Point Fashion Park, Richmond, VA. Originally launched as Discovery Chess, we have expanded to offer immersive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) programs alongside chess, creating a holistic environment for growth, creativity, and exploration for all ages.

We offer a diverse range of programs to engage kids, teens, adults, and seniors alike. Here’s a look at some of our unique offerings:

• Chess Programs: Supernova Knights (ages 3-5), Atomic Chess Club (open club on Saturdays), Chess 55+ for seniors, and the Discovery Chess League for school-aged leagues.
• STEAM Programs: Coming Soon* Knight’s Labyrinth, Rooks and Rockets, Castle Quest Club, Quantum Knights, Atoms and Endgames.
• Teen and Social Clubs: Quantum Knights for teens (combining chess, STEAM, and gaming)
